The Edgar Cayce Diet – A Roadmap To Natural Health

Following your diabetes meal plan is one of the most difficult diabetes self-management skills that you have to learn, live with and stay with. Knowing what you should eat does not mean that you will eat that way. Hunting is a sport of uncertainty and there are no guarantees that I will be blessed to harvest another deer this season. But even if I am not able to add some venison to my own freezer, the feeling of providing the much needed protein to those in need greatly surpasses the feeling of the extra meat in my own freezer.
Thankfully we are not doomed to eat bland, unappealing foods to stay thin. I had lots of time to think about how we use food as I attended two conferences last month. One was a four day event called “food as medicine” and the other was an one day workshop called “Steps to Mindful Eating.” The first was very technical and provided a chance to learn new things and validate my understanding of the changing nutritional landscape. The second gave me some new techniques to use and was a great reminder that eating is a sacred activity when we do it with awareness.
In the name of my father who took the time to take me out in the woods and expose me to the wonderful natural world that surrounds us, and his wisdom of being a giver and not a taker, I donated this deer in his name. This, alone, will not only improve your diet, but cost you a fraction of what the prepared mix would cost. If the “Generals” prepare your meals (General Foods, General Mills, etc) they charge YOU for the privilege.
